Picture this: its 2021, the pandemic has been going for a year. Interest rates fell below 3% - and it’s a sellers’ market. Homes are pending as soon as they hit the market, and its not uncommon to be competing with ‘site-unseen’ buyers. As a first-time homebuyer, and financially risk averse, my process to buy a home was deliberate – with specific considerations. Carmen worked with me to see homes as soon as possible (I would never put in an offer ‘site-unseen’) and listened to what I wanted: no split level, trail access, close to my work + daycare +school parks, a home to care for my parents in (eventually), and possible some short-term rental income. I found that home – with a mother-in-law suite, trail access, parks in the neighborhood, and 5-7 minute drive to work (depending on traffic).
